Welcome our newest American citizens!

Exciting news!
The Carthage Public Library is excited to announce that we have received a grant from the K.D. and M.L. Steadley Trust for a three-year period in the amount of $97,000. This grant will cover all of the expenses, which had been previously paid for in part by the Missouri State Library, for our Adult Citizenship and English program. Over 7 years, our library has worked closely to help teach adults to read and write in English as well as in their native language and also to offer a program to aid legal immigrants to become citizens of the United States. Our goal at the end of this year is to celebrate 100 adults who have received their Citizenship through our program. Thank you Steadley Trust.
